چکیده

Poly(aspartic acid) (PASP) is an anionic polypeptide that a highly versatile, biocompatible, and biodegradable polymer fulfils key requirements for use in wide variety of biomedical applications. The derivatives PASP can be readily tailored via the amine-reactive precursor, poly(succinimide) (PSI), which opens up large window opportunity design development novel biomaterials. also has strong affinity with calcium ions, resulting complexation, been exploited bone targeting biomineralization. In addition, recent studies have further verified biocompatibility biodegradability PASP-based polymers, attributed to their protein-like structure. light growing interest its derivatives, this paper presents comprehensive review on synthesis, characterization, modification, biodegradation, biocompatibility, applications areas.
