Poly(aspartic acid) (PASP) is an anionic polypeptide that a highly versatile, biocompatible, and biodegradable polymer fulfils key requirements for use in wide variety of biomedical applications. The derivatives PASP can be readily tailored via the amine-reactive precursor, poly(succinimide) (PSI), which opens up large window opportunity design development novel biomaterials. also has strong affinity with calcium ions, resulting complexation, been exploited bone targeting biomineralization.
